The Wise Traditions Diet

Ancestral Eating, Modern Clarity

No food groups are banned. Grains, dairy, meat, fat; all welcome when chosen wisely and prepared right. Traditional cultures thrived on this balance. Delicious, satisfying, nutrient-packed.

Step 1: Fats First
Animal fats are king. Butter on everything. Lard, tallow, bacon fat for cooking. Olive oil dressings. Cod liver oil for A+D. Grass-fed best – loaded with K2.
Ditch industrial oils: Canola, soy, corn, margarine. They fuel chronic disease, crowd out ancestral nourishment.

Step 2: Protein Properly
Meat with fat always; lean cuts deplete vitamin A. Organ meats rule: liver, pâté, heart. Full-fat dairy, skin-on poultry, whole eggs, roe. Wild-caught seafood. Pasture-raised, no junk feed.
Skip: Skinless breasts, low-fat milk, egg whites, protein powders.

Step 3: Carbs with Care
Starchy roots well-cooked. Fruit raw or stewed. Soaked grains, sourdough, fermented legumes. Sweeteners sparse: raw honey, maple. Always pair with good fats;  porridge with butter, fruit with cream. Organic only; no Roundup residue.
Avoid: White flour, extruded cereals, refined sugar, quick grains.

Step 4: Feed Your Gut
Lacto-fermented daily: sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, kvass, real salami. Enzymes aid digestion, bacteria build immunity.
Protect flora: No antibiotics, birth control, junk carbs that wipe it clean.

That nagging hunger, the fatigue despite eating;  it’s modern food’s empty promise. Wise Traditions fills the void our ancestors knew to avoid. Real nourishment calls you home.
